The new gesture from Chennai Super Kings will surely melt everyone’s hearts. CSK has gone on to collaborate with Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai) Limited (MTC) to provide 8000 metal whistles to bus conductors. This is a huge means to replace plastic whistles which is a good venture for the sustainability of the environment.
This is not the first partnership which CSK has had with MTC this season. From the start of the tournament, CSK fans with home tickets have availed bus services free of cost to visit and return from the stadium.
“Chennai Super Kings is pleased to provide whistles to conductors of MTC buses. The whistle has always been integrally associated with CSK and Chennai. It’s also a small step towards reduction in plastic usage as the metal whistles last long,” CSK Cricket Limited CEO KS Viswanathan said.
“Plenty of fans have already benefited from our special partnership with MTC this season, wherein fans with match tickets can travel free on buses on match days. We’re glad to put smiles on the faces of the public and the bus conductors,” Kasi added.
As for IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings stand third on the Points Table with 12 points under their belt. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Co have gone on to win 6 matches and lost the other 5 as the race for the Top 4 heats up.
