A comical error took place during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Thursday. During the first innings of the encounter, viewers watching the live streaming, were left scratching their heads after a graphic displayed “CHENNAI RAJASTHAN ROYALS.”
The fans were quick to notice the blunder. “Chennai” clearly didn’t belong there, as the timeout was obviously for the batting team, which was Rajasthan Royals. The error highlighted the team’s full name, something not always seen during broadcasts.
Riyan Parag blows DC with his 84*
As far as the match is concerned, RR’s Riyan Parag stole the show in their clash against DC as he hammered his career-best 84* off 45 balls. Batting at a phenomenal strike rate of 186.67, the batting all-rounder bludgeoned seven fours and six maximums.
He was the sole reason why RR managed to end up posting a formidable total of 185/5 in the first innings.
