Indian fans hit back after Barmy Army trolls Virat Kohli for registering duck in IND vs ENG

Barmy Army took to social media as they trolled Indian batter Virat Kohli for scoring a duck in IND vs ENG World Cup match.

Star batter Virat Kohli was dismissed for his maiden duck in the ICC Cricket World Cup. Kohli was scalped on zero by England pacer David Willey in the ongoing IND vs ENG World Cup match being played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday. Meanwhile, ‘The Barmy Army’ took to social media to troll Virat Kohli as they posted a photo of a duck with the latter’s face superimposed. Meanwhile, the Indian fans on social media gave some befitting replies to the English fan page.

Virat Kohli is one century away from levelling Tendulkar

Virat Kohli failed to get going against England as he is still one hundred away from levelling Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. To note Virat could have equalled Sachin’s tally of 49 centuries in the fifty overs format against New Zealand itself, although he was dismissed on 95 against the Kiwis in Dharamsala, meaning he is still one century behind one of the all-time greats.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue managed to post 229 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma (87 runs), Suryakumar Yadav (49 runs). For defending champs England, David Willey was pick of the bowlers with three scalps. Senior bowlers Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid also scalped two wickets each while Mark Wood got one wicket to his name.

The wicket in Lucknow has turned out to be a tricky one to bat on. Indian bowlers including Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah & Kuldeep Yadav have been in fine form. However, it won’t be an easy task for them against a destructive English batting order.

Meanwhile, here are some reactions:
