Team Afghanistan will be playing its opening match against Uganda in the T20 World Cup 2024. The match is set to be played on June 3 (Monday) in Guyana. Apart from Uganda, Rashid Khan and Co. will also face the likes of New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and hosts West Indies in the marquee event.

Under the leadership of their star spinner Rashid Khan, Afghanistan cricket team will be looking to etch history by lifting their first-ever ICC trophy. However, they are up against two quality sides in their group stage matches and it remains to be seen how the Afghani side will perform in the upcoming marquee event.
A total of three venues in the USA and six in the West Indies will be used for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament will commence on 1 June with co-hosts USA taking on arch-rival Canada, while fellow hosts the West Indies will play Papua New Guinea in Guyana on the second day of group play.
