The deadlock over Champions Trophy 2025 between India and Pakistan has reportedly been resolved finally. After a significant delay, the ICC approved the hybrid model for the marquee event, confirming that Dubai and Pakistan would be the two locations to host the marquee event. India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for CT 2025 had led to a stalemate between the PCB and BCCI and the deadlock was broken after both the boards reportedly came to a mutual agreement on Friday.

As per reports, the Champions Trophy 2025 final will be held in Dubai if India qualify. Similarly, one of the semi-finals will be held in Dubai if India make it to the top four. This would mean that only one of the semi-final would be held in Pakistan if India qualifies for the other and the final would be shifted out of Pakistan.

On Friday, reports claimed that the ICC has approved a hybrid model for the tournament The report claimed that the decision was arrived at after both the BCCI and PCB agreed on the suggestion. Further, India and Pakistan have reportedly agreed “in principle” that the latter will not travel to India for their league game in T20 World Cup 2026. The IND vs PAK clash will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka instead. Additionally, Pakistan will reportedly get to host an ICC Women’s tournament after 2027.
