The esteemed Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to face a roadblock over the venue of the event. Pakistan, who are supposed to be the hosts of the event, are quite uncertain about the hosting the tournament. The event is scheduled to take place between February to March 2025. As per Cricbuzz, a few boards are mulling over the coincidence of their T20 leagues with the tourney.

SA20, ILT20 and BPL are some of the leagues that are set to coincide with the Champions Trophy 2025. The ILT20, for instance, kicked off on January 19 and is set to conclude on February 17 this year. South Africa’s SA20 and the Bangladesh Premier League will also face similar challenges. SA 20, which commenced on January 20 this year, is set to conclude exactly a month later. The schedule for BPL also is largely similar.
“We will have to work on a limited window,” the official said. With the current edition still underway, the IL officials have not yet considered the next season’s dates, but the official confided that they may have to finish the league in January itself,” an IL T20 official said, as per Cricbuzz.
PCB officials involved refuse to comment on whether the tournament will definitely be staged in Pakistan or will it be moved. The PCB did sign a host nation agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently, but the final word on the issue is yet to be said.
