Anushka who would be returning to acting after quite some time began her preparations to ace her role. She was earlier seen hitting the gym to get back her fitness required to play and portray the life of an athlete. However, now she has started to hit the nets to perfect her bowling style and stance. Anushka Sharma posted pictures on her social media handles where it could be seen that the Bollywood actress donned a cricket ball and recreating a bowling stance.

Jhulan Goswami is the world’s highest wicket-taker in women’s cricket. She made her debut against England women in 2002. The 39-year-old will be playing her last World Cup in 2022 scheduled to take place in New Zealand.

Anushka Sharma is making her comeback after 3 years gap. She was last seen in Zero beside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
During the official announcement of the movie, Anushka Sharma told Netflix, “It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket,”
“At a time when Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was very tough for women to even think of playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several instances that shaped her life and also women’s cricket,” she added.
