CCL: Riteish Deshmukh’s Mumbai fall well short of target, lose to Karnataka by 38 runs

Riteish Deshmukh’s Mumbai Heroes on Sunday succumbed to their first defeat of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) season 10 at the hands of a well-oiled Karnataka Bulldozers in the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Mumbai opted to bowl first and restricted Karnataka to 70 runs in the first innings. Riteish Deshmukh’s team scored 76 runs in their innings and had an advantage. However, Karnataka came back into the match in their second innings, scoring a mammoth 129 runs as Krishna scored a half-century in 15 balls. Needing 124 to win in the second innings, Mumbai faltered big time, losing the tie by 38 runs.
