CCL 2023: The Celebrity Cricket league (CCL 2023) kicked off with Karnataka Bulldozers taking on Bengal Tigers in the opening match in Raipur.The Karnataka Bulldozers led by Kichcha Sudeep won the opening encounter by 8 wickets while chasing 57 runs for victory. CCL 2023: Kichcha Sudeep puts on Tripathi-like helmet
The helmet worn by Kichcha Sudeep is very common among international players. Rahul Tripathi who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL and recently debuted for Indi also wears the same helmet while batting. The specialty of the helmet are additional metal grills to the guard and an extra layer of protection. It is also believed that this kind of helmet fits better on the head, is more Intuitively designed and is lighter compared to the normal ones that cricketers wear.
Speaking of the match Bengal Tigers won the Toss and opted to bat first in the 20 over contest. The Tigers post 76/6 in their first 10 overs. Karnataka on th either hand scored 93/5 with Pradeep scoring half century. The Tigers in their second innings scored 76/6 leaving Bulldozers to chase 57 runs for victory. Sudeep played a cameo knock of 15 runs from 10 balls before getting dismissed by Tigers bowler Sandeep with team still needing 8 runs for victory.
