Mumbai Heroes, however, suffered their first CCL 2023 season setback at the hands of Chennai Rhinos. The opening pair of the Rhinos, Vikrant and Ramana, produced 150 runs for no loss in their allotted 10 overs in response to the Mumbai Heroes’ 94/2 score after they had taken the field first to bat. Runs were practically pouring down.
Mumbai Heroes, who were trailing by 56 runs, were only able to score further 91/5 runs in their second innings. The Rhinos therefore only needed 36 runs to win, which they easily attained in the third over. While Ramana was named Best Batsman and Ashok Selvan Best Bowler, Vikrant was named Man of the Match thanks to his 80.
