India skipper Rohit Sharma stood stall as he scored a fighting century in IND vs ENG 3rd Test at Rajkot. The Hitman stood his ground despite a top-order collapse as he fought his way to a well-deserved century. Sharma’s century came off 158 deliveries, as he stitched a valuable partnership with Jadeja.

Sharma’s last century came in the series against West Indies in 2023. In the 1st Test against ENG at Hyderabad, he managed to score 24 and 39 runs. In the 2nd Test at Vizag, the Hitman 14 and 13 in two innings.
Yashashvi Jaiswal was the first to depart on Day 1, courtesy of a fiery Wood. An edge from the southpaw was caught by Joe Root. Next, Shubman Gill was dismissed for a duck, with Wood striking again. The third batter to walk back to the pavilion was Rajat Patidar, with spinner Tom Hartley joining the fray along with Wood.
Jadeja and Sharma then anchored the innings, providing a strong fightback after lunch. Jadeja went on to score a half-century on his return from injury.
