Canadian pacer Jeremy Gordon concedes 33 runs in an over vs USA in T20 World Cup 2024 opener

Gordon had a decent start to his bowling spell prior to the fateful over. He had conceded 11 runs from two overs on his first spell, but lost the plot in his third over.

Canada did not have an ideal start to their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign as they lost their opening game against USA on Sunday, June 2. As if the defeat wasn’t bad enough, right-arm fast bowler Jeremy Gordon went into the history books for an unwanted record. The Canadian pacer conceded 33 runs in an over, handing the match to USA. This was the joint-third most expensive over in T20Is.
