The fans on social media were left dejected after Australia completed a thumping win in the IND vs AUS World Cup final. With that win, the Men in Yellow went on to clinch their record sixth World Cup trophy. Apart from the fans, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other Indian players were also left shell-shocked after the loss in the night of the finals.
Travis Head was adjudged POTM
Speaking about Travis Head innings in IND vs AUS final, the left-handed batter went on to score a terrific century and hit 15 fours and 4 sixes in his innings of 137 from 120 balls. Travis Head was trying to finish the game with a big hit but was holed out to Gill at deep mid-wicket.
“What an amazing day. Just thriller to be a part of it. It’s a lot better than seeing sitting on the couch. It’s really nice to contribute. In the first 20 balls, I was bit nervous but Marnus played really well and soaked in the pressure and we built a solid partnership,” said Travis Head.
