Bumrah’s masterclass earns him Siraj’s embrace after miserly spell in high-scoring MI vs RCB clash

Mumbai Indians chased down 197 runs in only 93 balls against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. This win has propelled MI to 7th on the table.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, India’s two pace spearheads, found themselves on opposite ends of the spectrum in a high-scoring encounter between MI and RCB at the Wankhede Stadium.

While batters enjoyed a feast on a flat track, bowlers had their work cut out for them. The night belonged to Bumrah, who defied the odds with a magical spell of 5 wickets for just 21 runs. Siraj, on the other hand, endured a tough outing, conceding 37 runs in his 3 overs.

A heartwarming hug between Bumrah & Siraj

Despite the contrasting fortunes, sportsmanship prevailed when the match came to a close. Cameras captured a heartwarming moment where Siraj walked up to Bumrah and embraced him in a tight hug.

The gesture spoke volumes about the camaraderie within the Indian bowling unit. Siraj, known for his fiery spirit, acknowledged Bumrah’s exceptional bowling on a pitch that heavily favored batsmen.

Bumrah’s masterful bowling earned him the Player of the Match award. He outfoxed RCB batters with his variations and took the prized wickets of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Mahipal Lomror, Saurav Chauhan and Vijaykumar Vyshak.
