Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League 2024 for Rangpur Riders, and has been coming up with decent performances for them. On Saturday too, he came up with a match-winning knock of 62 from 46 deliveries, against Durdanto Dhaka, that is a signal, that he is truly back in form.
But an untoward incident left the stylish batsman, a little angry. It happened at the time when Babar was batting, with Dhaka wicket-keeper Irfan Sukkur constantly chirping in his ear. Fed up, eventually Babar went up to Irfan, and told him, “I am not talking to you.”
Later Dhaka batsman Mohammad Naim Sheikh was seen diffusing the situation. The video also showed Babar express his displeasure to his batting partner Mohammad Nabi. But soon, the umpires stepped in as well.
Rangpur Riders Post Another Win
After Babar’s 62 took Riders to 183/8, Dhaka were bundled out for a paltry 104. The star with the ball was Mahedi Hasan, who returned with figures of 3/11. Meanwhile, this was Riders’ second win in four matches, and are currently fourth in the points table. Babar in three matches has scored 120 runs, at an average of 60.
