According to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s agreement with the PSL franchises, the players must be available in their respective camps 15 days before the competition. If that were the case, the players would have needed to leave earlier, but because of the relationship between the two boards, the PCB permitted their cricketers to stay in the BPL and return on February 2.
Sources claim that a few players have petitioned the board to extend their NOC so they can stay in Bangladesh till February 8th. The PCB responded by informing the players that they could only stay longer if their franchises had no problems. The franchises must nonetheless send a mail notification to the PCB.

“Their franchises have asked them to return by February 2 but they are trying to stay here till February 8. We cannot do anything apart from asking them to talk with their board and franchises and stay here for a longer period and they are saying they are doing their best to convince them,” said Salahuddin.
Shanian Taneem, the executive director of Rangpur Riders, stated that its Pakistani players are prepared to obtain consent from their franchises to remain till February 9. Shanian said, “We knew they might have to leave on February 2 but I don’t think they will go as they are taking permission from their (PSL) franchises and will stay here till February 9.”
