BPL 2022 Final Highlights: Comilla Victorians lift third BPL title – Imrul Kayes’ Comilla Victorians defeated Fortune Barishal in the final of 2022 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Final by one run. With this win, they became the second team after Dhaka to get their hands on the title for the third time.
After winning the toss, Comilla’s skipper Imrul Kayes decided to bat first. They went off to a flying start courtesy of Sunil Narine’s half-century, but were then faced with a batting collapse. Though Moeen Ali somewhat steadied their ship, all they could master is 151/9 after 20 overs.

Fortune Barishal had a poor start with their in-form opening batter Munin Shahriar departing early, but Shykat Ali and Chris Gayle’s fantastic knocks got them in the driver’s seat. They once looked all set to win, needing 18 runs from 18 balls, but excellent death bowling by Sunil Narine, Mustafizur Rahman and Shohidul Islam clinched the title for Comilla Victorians.
