The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is set to break all viewership records, as the series has witnessed a significant surge in interest.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has become the highest-rated bilateral away Test series, setting new viewership records. Star Sports Network, the official broadcasters of Cricket Australia in India, reported a phenomenal 49 million viewers for the second Test between Australia and India, marking a 22% increase compared to the 2020 D/N Test between the two teams. The total watch-time soared to 4.2 billion minutes, reflecting a 26% growth from the corresponding match in the 2020 series.

Additionally, the TVR for the Adelaide Test grew by 32% compared to the 2020 D/N Test.

IND vs AUS Test series sets new viewership records

86 million people watched the first two Test matches of the series on television, which is a 55% increase over the 2020 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The watch time has increased by an astounding 75% over the previous version, reaching 12.8 billion minutes. The tremendous popularity of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the unparalleled enthusiasm surrounding this intensely competitive competition are highlighted by these record-breaking numbers.
