England cricket team Test captain Ben Stokes suffered an injury and was forced to be helped off the field during the Hundred. The prolific all-rounder sustained the injury during his outing for the Northern Superchargers on Sunday. Stokes, who experienced difficulty in running between the wickets, decided to pull out while the Superchargers were chasing the 13-run target set by the Manchester Originals.

Stokes managed to make two runs from four deliveries before he retired hurt. He was seen clutching his left hamstring as he experienced difficulty while running from the non-striker’s end. His injury casts aspersions on his ability to take part in England upcoming series against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to begin from August 21.
Stokes’ England teammate Harry Brook told SkySports that it wasn’t looking very good for Stokes and that he will undergo a scan on Monday to determine the intensity of his injury. The all-rounder was seen watching the rest of the game from the dug out while using crutches to help him stand.
