PAK vs AUS: World Cup 2023: Pakistan cricket team received a big jolt on Tuesday when six of their players missed the optional training after contracting viral fever. The news left fans worried as team’s next match is against 5-time World Champion Australia on October 20. However, Wednesday’s training session brought some good news for the management and fans as 5 players apart from Muhammad Haris, were seen practicing in Bangalore.
Muhammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafique, Shaheen Afridi, Salman Ali Agha and Zaman Khan trained at Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of big PAK vs AUS clash.
Earlier, six players of the Pakistan team missed the optional training session on Tuesday after showing fever like symptoms. All players were then tested for COVID-19 and dengue fever.
While Shafique and Haris has been suffering from a fever, Shaheen and Usama Mir and others showed few symptoms, but they have since recovered.
The Babar Azam-led side will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering a heavy defeat against arch-rivals India in Ahmedabad on October 14. The side has registered two wins in three matches in World Cup, so far, and are 4th on points table.
