Staring the day, the MP Tigers won against Northern Challengers by 12 runs despite Shikhar Dhawan’s knock of 66 from 29 balls. Later in the night, the UP Brij Stars narrowly beat Southern Spartans by just 5 runs.
MP Tigers Triumph over Northern Challengers
In Match 8, MP Tigers (MPT) played against Northern Challengers (NC). Batting first, MPT put up a big score of 235/3 in their 20 overs. Naman Ojha was outstanding, scoring an unbeaten 102 runs from 55 balls with seven fours and eight sixes. Saket Sharma also shined, adding 78 runs. Kundan Kumar took three wickets for NC but couldn’t stop MPT.
In reply, Northern Challengers fought hard but ended up 12 runs short, scoring 223/6. Shikhar Dhawan’s quick 66 from 29 balls and Gurkeerat Singh Mann’s explosive 73 from 32 balls kept NC in the hunt. But MPT’s bowlers, like Dilshan Munaweera and Faizal A, took crucial wickets, helping their team win and continue their good form.
UP Brij stars edge Southern Spartans in a thriller
Match 9 was between UP Brij Stars (UPBS) and Southern Spartans (SS) and was another intense battle. UP Brij Stars batted first, scoring 176/7 in 20 overs. Chirag Gandhi scored 61, and Asghar Afghan played a steady knock of 60 not out. Abhimanyu Mithun and Abhishek Sakuja bowled well for Southern Spartans, each taking two wickets.
