Big boost for Pakistan, Fakhar Zaman, Usama Mir available for PAK vs AUS World Cup clash

Fakhar Zaman and Usama Mir might be included in the playing XI in the PAK vs AUS World Cup clash to be played in Bengaluru.

In a massive boost for Pakistan, senior opener Fakhar Zaman and spinner Usama Mir have been declared fit ahead of the PAK vs AUS World Cup match. It must be noted that Fakhar Zaman had been struggling with a knee injury, while Usama Mir has been battling with fever. It must also be noted that the Men in Green recently suffered its first loss against India. Pakistan will be looking to make a comeback against the Australians.

According to Cricket Pakistan, opener Fakhar Zaman and leg-spinner Usama Mir have totally recovered from their respective ailments and are available for selection for the crucial match against the Aussies. Fakhar might come as a replacement for Imam-ul-Haq in the opening department. On the other hand, Shadab Khan might make way for Usama as the former has failed to make any impact in the tournament so far.

PAK vs AUS will take place on October 20

Pakistan will face Australia on 20 October at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, and they will be eager to give a better account of themselves after the seven-wicket mauling at the hands of India on Saturday. To note, this is also Pakistan’s first visit to Bengaluru since 2012. They had then beaten India by five wickets in the first T20I match of the two-match series.

On the other hand, Australia recently registered its first win in the World Cup. The Aussies recently defeated Sri Lanka in a must-win clash played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The Men in Yellow will be looking to make it two in a row wins against Babar Azam and Co. on Friday.
