Big blow for India as Mohammed Siraj pulls out of Duleep Trophy with illness, Jadeja withdraws too

Duleep Trophy: Mohammed Siraj ruled out of Duleep Trophy owing to illness, Jadeja withdraws in major concern for IND vs BAN Test series

The India Cricket Team has been dealt with a blow. Ace pacer Mohammed Siraj has pulled out of Duleep Trophy. The star pacer is suffering from illness and thus won’t be fit in time for the Duleep Trophy fixtures. The BCCI Selection Committee as a result has selected Navdeep Saini as Siraj’s replacement. On the other hand, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is also released from the squad.

It is likely to be believed that Jadeja is getting an extended break before the start of the IND vs BAN Test series. Team India would desperately want their players to remain fit and in the best shape of health.

No Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja for Duleep Trophy

Mohammed Siraj is reportedly ill and won’t be fit in time for the Duleep Trophy. As a result, the BCCI Selection Committee will has decided to place Navdeep Saini as the replacement for the former. With the prime focus on the India vs Bangladesh Test series coming up, the team will be unwilling to put any further pressure on the player.

On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja too has withdrawn his name from the tournament. Since, it is a bit too late, no replacement has been provided for Ravindra Jadeja in the team.
