Big blow for Pakistan as long-serving coach Grant Bradburn ends association

Grant Bradburn played seven Tests and 11 ODIs for New Zealand in the 1990s and 2000s.

Grant Bradburn, the Pakistan high-performance coach, ended his long association with the PCB on Monday. Bradburn, who was announced the head coach in May 2023, had also served as the fielding coach of the team from 2018 to 2020.

But following Pakistan’s early exit from the World Cup, Bradburn was sent back to the NCA. The latter made the announcement on X. “Time to close the amazing chapter that has been Pakistan cricket. Three roles over five years, I am proud of what’s been achieved and grateful to have worked with so many outstanding players, coaches and staff. Wishing the teams, staff and everyone at Pakistan Cricket continued success and growth.”

Meanwhile, after the long Pakistani assignment, the New Zealander is all set to join English county team Glamorgan, as the head coach, across formats. As far as the Pakistani team is concerned now, they are due to face New Zealand in a T20I series, after losing a three-Test series against Australia.
