Big blow for Australia! Mitchell Starc & Glenn Maxwell out of IND vs AUS 1st ODI

The 1st ODI between India and Australia will be played on September 22 in Mohali.

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc & all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will not be feature in the first IND vs AUS ODI against India tomorrow as per reports. Australian skipper Pat Cummins confirmed that both players will not play in first ODI but will take part later in the series.

Meanwhile, batter Steve Smith, who also missed the South Africa tour due to a tendon injury on his left wrist, will return in Playing XI for 1st ODI.

Cricket Australia on Wednesday shared a video of Smith batting in nets. The veteran batter revealed that he spent 2 hours in nets and looks ready for the ODI series.

Starc reportedly had been suffering ‘groin soreness’ after travelling UK for the WTC Final and Ashes.
