India skipper Rohit Sharma warned fans from invading the pitch during the T20 World Cup, asking them to respect the rule of the country. The Hitman’s remarks come after a fan was pinned down and handcuffed after attempting to run into the field to meet the star. Speaking at the IND vs IRE pre-match press conference, Sharma urged the fans to not enter the ground, emphasizing on the security of both players and the supporters.

“No one should go inside the ground. Players’ security is important. Even security of fans is important. You have to respect the rule for a particular country,” Rohit Sharma said.
As per reports, SWAT teams with specialist snipers and plain clothes policemen will be operating at various parts of the ground. The latest security deployment could prove to be dangerous for both pitch invaders and players.
In India’s warm-up match against Bangladesh, a fan who invaded the pitch to meet Rohit Sharma was tackled, pinned down to the ground and handcuffed by officers. The individual was then escorted out of the ground by the officers. The enhanced security measures for the IND vs PAK game also comes after a threatening message along with a poster from a pro-ISIS group.
