Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is a joy to have around in any dressing room. The funny bone of the team, always trust DK to lift up the spirits of his team in a tense moment. And when the mood is joyous, DK can be trusted to bring his wit into it. That is exactly what happened on Saturday after RCB pipped CSK in a close tie to book their place into the playoffs. Karthik, in a hillarious yet powerful speech, remarked that the best thing to happen to RCB in the match was MS Dhoni hitting a huge six out of the ground in the last over.
Dhoni stuck a huge 110m six from the first ball of the last over of Yash Dayal. The ball went sailing out of the ground, and umpires had to provide a new ball.
DK, in his typical manner, praised Yash for bowling that full toss on the pads. DK said that the new ball helped Yash grip the ball better and hence won them the game.

“I thought the best thing to happen today was Dhoni hitting that six outside the ground. We got a new ball, which was much better to bowl with. Good game over there. Yes. Yash, that was good bowling. If you have a doubt, always bowl a high, hip high full toss on leg stump. Wherever he is, it’s a good mantra to follow when the ball is wet. But other than that, Jokes apart, I think we should be really proud of this journey that we are having,” DK is heard saying in a video uploaded on RCB’s social media channels.
