Harmanpreet Kaur bagged her 42nd win as India’s T20I captain as the Women in Blue thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan by eight wickets on Sunday. Her tally now makes her the best T20I captain for India, surpassing the legendary MS Dhoni in the list. Dhoni had 41 wins in his captaincy stint, and the 33-year-old has now aced it, with a better win percentage. In the women’s game, Harmanpreet now has the third most wins as captain, behind Charlotte Edwards and Meg Lanning.

As for the game, India put in a decisive effort with the ball with Radha Yadav and Sneh Rana picking up two wickets each. Shafali Verma, Meghna Singh and Renuka Singh were also amongst the wickets as Pakistan were just shot down for 99. In response, Smriti Mandhana hit a whirlwind 63 to seal the chase with more than six overs to spare to keep India’s hopes of a CWG semi-final alive.
