Ben Stokes finger injury: Ben Stokes suffered a finger injury during the first leg of IPL 2021, which ruled him out of the tournament and has kept him out of the play for almost six months now.

Stokes’ Last international appearance: After missing out on the first leg of IPL 2021 due to a finger injury, Stokes was subsequently ruled out of the Test series against India. His last international appearance was against Pakistan in a three-match ODI series in which he led England’s B side after the core players were isolated amid COVID-19 tensions in the England camp. Stokes-led outfit thrashed Pakistan 3-0 in the ODI series.

Although he hasn’t been named in England’s squad for the upcoming Ashes 2021-22, the England Cricket Board (ECB) will be keeping a close eye on his fitness.
