IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Ben Duckett advocates Bazball, hammers fastest Test ton by English batter

Ben Duckett slammed the fastest Test century by an English man in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot. He took just 88 balls to reach the coveted three-digit mark. It was also the fastest Test century at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium by any batter.

Tasked to close down a massive score of 445, Ben Duckett advocated Bazball. He continued to hammer the Indian bowlers in a flurry. The English batter slammed 19 fours and a solitary sixer to reach his century.

This was Ben Duckett’s 3rd ton in the longest format of the game. This also is his first century against India. At the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot Duckett has also slammed the fastest Test century. Close second is India’s Prithvi Shaw who reached the 3 digit mark against West Indies back in 2018.

After the departure of fellow opener Zac Crawley, Duckett has stitched a strong partnership with vice captain Ollie Pope. Duckett took charge of the England attack and has continued his assault against the hosts.
