‘Been a long journey’ Rohit Sharma reflect back on T20I journey, heaps praise for Shivam Dube

Rohit Sharma reflects on T20I journey since 2007, goes on to praise Indian youngsters after IND vs AFG 2nd T20I

India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma reflected on his T20I journey. He claimed that he has cherished every moment of the journey so far. Talking about the IND vs AFG 2nd T20I game, Rohit claimed that he has been very happy with his side. India clinched a 6 wicket win in Indore to secure a 2-0 series win against the Pathans.

Rohit Sharma has gone on to play 150 International matches for the India Cricket Team. Reflecting on his journey, Rohit claims that he has cherished every moment of his journey. Rohit’s journey started back in 2007 and he is happy to script the history.

It is a great feeling, it has been a long journey starting way back in 2007. I’ve cherished every moment I have spent here. We have been clear with what we wanted to do, very clear message to everyone and when you see a performance like that, you can be really proud. One thing is talking about it, but to actually go there and play that way is a proud feeling,” said Rohit Sharma after the Match.

Rohit went on to heap praises for the youngsters like Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal. He has claimed that Dube has played 2 crucial knocks for India in back to back matches.

The last two games, we’ve ticked a lot of boxes. They’ve had a great couple of years, Jaiswal has played Test cricket now and even T20I. He has shown what he is capable of. He has the talent and has a great range of shots. Dube is a big guy, very powerful and can take on the spinners. That is his role and he has come out and played two crucial innings for us,” Rohit concluded.
