Statement from the IPL
The IPL, in a media advisory, stated that Rana had committed two Level 1 offences under Article 2.5 of the Code of Conduct. He received separate fines of 10% and 50% of his match fees for the two violations. Rana has accepted the sanctions imposed by the Match Referee.

Despite the controversy surrounding his celebration, Harshit Rana emerged as a hero for KKR later in the match. KKR needed just 13 runs to win in the final over, but a massive six off the first ball by SRH’s batsman made things tense. However, Rana displayed remarkable composure, conceding only two runs and taking two crucial wickets in the remaining five deliveries. His bowling heroics secured a narrow four-run victory for KKR.
