The ICC T20 World Cup is just round the corner. And with the ICC event happening for the very first time in USA, it is a rather unknown territory for all. Thus in an order to know about the requirements for the the team and the facilities, the BCCI has sent an Indian official to USA to find out about the arrangements.
As per reports, The BCCI has already sent an official to New York to do a recce about the hotels. Apart from the staying and lodging, there is also a need to understand and check about the other arrangements in USA.
USA – Uncharted Territory in Cricket
And with the ICC T20 World Cup fast approaching, it just a matter of time before these details are fixed. As soon as the IPL 2024 group stage ends, the Indian players will fly off for USA. Only players making it to the knockouts will travel after the finals.
This is the first time that an ICC event is taking place in USA. As a result, the BCCI needs to understand and get a clear idea about the facilities and other features available in New York. In fact, Team India has never played a game earlier in New York. Earlier, India has played a couple of T20I games in Florida.
India begin their ICC T20 World Cup campaign on 5th June as they take on Ireland in the opening encounter.
