Hardik Pandya Injury

The incident took place in the 9th over of the game. Litton Das slammed a powerful straight drive off a Hardik Pandya ball and the Indian all-rounder used his leg to stop the delivery, which ultimately went for a boundary.

Hardik Pandya was distraught in pain. The medics and the Physio rushed to the field to treat the player. Hardik Pandya gets up and decides to take a small run out but he can’t.

He goes to the ground and receives more attention and treatment from the physios. The physios tape his ankle and Hardik gets up on his feet ready to resume action. But the all-rounder can’t stay upright as he continues to wobble. He walks off the field and Virat Kohli bowls the remaining three deliveries to finish the over.

With Hardik Pandya not fielding and bowling, Suryakumar Yadav has come on as a substitute fielder in the playing XI. But this no has posed a big problem for India. The Men in Blue are slated to clash with New Zealand Sunday, 22nd October at Dharamshala.

If Hardik Pandya doesn’t get fit by then, then the Men in Blue will have to bank on veteran and specialist pacer Mohammed Shami to be included in the India Playing XI.
