The Indian and Pakistan cricket officials met on the sidelines of the T20 World Cup in USA to discuss matters related to the Champions Trophy 2025 that is scheduled to be held in Pakistan. There’s uncertainty regarding Indian team’s journey to Pakistan to play the tournament, and the officials met to discuss the issue.
No outcome in high-profile meeting
However, according to a report from the The Express Tribune, no solution emerged from the meeting with PCB officials pushing to host India in Pakistan and BCCI dropping the ball in Indian govt’s court.
A representative from the PCB has verified the meeting and is hopeful that the entire event will take place in Pakistan. The official mentioned that substantial investments are being made to enhance the stadiums.

He also added construction is moving swiftly at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, and upgrades are also in the works for stadiums in Karachi and Rawalpindi, with a completion target of the end of December. These three locations are slated to host the major event.
The PCB has planned to keep all of India’s matches in Lahore to avoid inter-city travel for the Indian team. However, it remains to be seen the BCCI and the Indian govt indeed send the team to the other side of the border.
