In what comes as a shocking news, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added former Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Chetan Sakariya in the list of players with suspect bowling action. The 25-year-old, who was released by DC ahead of IPL 2024 auction, has been identified by the board as one of seven players with a suspect action.
According to Cricbuzz, the BCCI has informed IPL franchises about the situation. However, the pacer is not facing a ban.
Apart from Sakariya, other notable players who have been named in list for suspected action are Tanush Kotian, Rohan Kunnummal, Chirag Gandhi, Salman Nizar, Saurabh Dubey, and Arpit Guleria. Manish Pandey and KL Shrijith are currently facing bowling bans.

Sakariya, who is presently recovering from a back stress fracture, has registered himself for the IPL 2024 auction at a base price of Rs 50 lakh.
The young pacer rose to fame in his debut IPL season with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 2021. The pacer picked 14 wickets in 14 games but was released by RR ahead of IPL 2022 auction.
Sakariya was picked up by Delhi Capitals for Rs 4.2 crore in IPL mega auction in 2022.
The youngster has played in 19 IPL games and has also featured in one ODI and two T20Is for India.
The auction, scheduled for December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, will feature 333 players, including 214 Indians and 119 overseas cricketers.
