The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the biggest cricket board in the world, and that too by a long shot. According to their new balance sheet, the BCCI is now worth Rs 20,686 crore at the end of 2024. This is a massive surge of around Rs 4200 crore (4193 to be exact). The sum’s so big that one might fail to wrap their head around it.
BCCI, richest board in the world
“The cash and bank balance of BCCI has increased from Rs 16,493 crores in FY2023 to INR 20,686 crores in FY 2024. This is an increase of approximately INR 4,200 crore,” an official BCCI document read, as per PTI.

PCB, CA & ECB, not even close in terms of net worth
In comparison, the three richest cricket boards after the BCCI, Cricket Australia (CA), England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) aren’t even close. As of September, the CA is worth Rs 658 crore, the ECB around Rs 492 crore, and the PCB stands at Rs 458 crore.
Combined that’s Rs 1608 crore. Which isn’t even close to what BCCI did in the whole year. This showcases how far ahead BCCI is and why they hold the most power in world cricket. In fact, even if you combine the worth of the top ten richest, it comes to around Rs 3108 crore, which is still over Rs 1000 crore short of what the BCCI earned just in 2024.
