BCCI DISPLEASED with CAB for WC Ticket Prices REVEAL without Prior Consultation

The BCCI is displeased with the Cricket Association of Bengal for revealing the World Cup Ticket Prices without consulting

The BCCI is not pleased with the Cricket Association Bengal releasing the ICC World Cup 2023 Ticket prices without confirming with the apex cricketing body of the country. CAB President Snehasish Ganguly announced the ticket prices of the matches to be taken place at the Eden Gardens a few days ago.

The BCCI is not pleased with the outcome and is apparently irked with the outcome. The Eden Gardens is set to host 5 matches for the ICC World Cup that includes India vs South Africa and the Second Semi Final of the tournament.

Bangladesh will play two matches in Kolkata and so with Pakistan. The CAB President, Snehasish Ganguly had earlier announced the ticket rates, with the lowest starting from Rs. 650 and the highest being Rs. 3000.

Former BCCI President and Snehasish Ganguly’s brother Sourav Ganguly visited the Eden Gardens to inspect the ground. When he was enquired off the same, Sourav replied “This is totally the CAB’s jurisdiction. They’ll deal with it.”

A senior CAB officer later said: “Sourav was here mainly to know how Eden Gardens’ renovation was going, while we also discussed about stadium upgradation.”

The first match to be held in Kolkata will witness the Netherlands locking horns with Bangladesh on 28th October from 2 PM. The ticket prices for this match range from Rs 650 for all Upper Tiers, Rs 1000 for D H blocks, and Rs 1500 for B C K L blocks.

The second and the fourth game at Kolkata will see Pakistan facing Bangladesh and England going toe-to-toe with Pakistan. The ticket prices for this match will be Rs 800 Upper Tiers, Rs 1200 D H blocks, Rs 2000 C K blocks, and Rs 2200 B L blocks.

And finally comes the big games. The third match will see hosts India taking on the Proteas on 5th November and the Semi-final 2 on 16th November between the 2nd and 3rd placed teams. The prices for this game will be higher at Rs 900 Upper Tiers, Rs 1500 D H blocks, Rs 2500 C K blocks, and Rs 3000 B L blocks.
