BCCI creates special central contract for fast bowlers, Umran Malik & Akash Deep among ‘fast five’

Pacers Akash Deep and Umran Malik feature among the five pacers recommended by the selection committee for BCCI central contracts

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) creates a special central contract for fast bowlers. This has been created with the help of recommendations from the selection committee. Akash Deep, who made his debut in IND vs ENG 4th Test, is one of the names on the list. The fiery Umran Malik is another name that features among the list of five provided by BCCI.

Karnataka’s Vijaykumar Vyshak and Vidwath Kaverappa have also been recommended by the selection commitee for a central contract for fast bowlers. Yash Dayal also features on the list.

BCCI central contracts for 2024-25

Grade A+

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

Grade A

R Ashwin, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya

Grade B

Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal

Grade C

Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaekwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, KS Bharat, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar.
