PayTM has been the sponsor of India’s home series since 2015. The company had shelled out a whopping Rs. 326.80 crore to extend the deal by four years in 2019. BYJUS, the edtech app, has been India’s jersey sponsor since 2019 replacing Oppo.

The ITW Universe-backed brand then renewed its partnership for 18 months until the end of 2023, in a deal that cost a staggering $55 million. But now, it has come as a surprise PayTM wants a way out.

As for Byju’s, despite its hardships, the CEO of the company told Cricbuzz on Monday that the association would continue.

“We are continuing our association with the BCCI, we have extended our sponsorship deal,” Byju Raveendran, the CEO of the company, told Cricbuzz on Monday night.
