BCCI announces updated squads for second round of Duleep Trophy matches

Ahead of the second round matches of Duleep Trophy, the BCCI has announced updated squads for the teams after stars left their teams for IND vs BAN series

The BCCI has announced the updated squads for the second round matches of the Duleep Trophy 2024 which will begin on September 12. The announcement comes after players named in India’s squad for IND vs BAN series left their respective teams to participate in a training camp in Chennai.

Updated Duleep Trophy squads

Mayank Agarwal has been named the captain for India A in place of Shubman Gill. Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, SK Rasheed, Shams Mulani and Aaqib Khan have been named replacements for Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav and Akash Deep respectively.

Suyash Prabhudesai and Rinku Singh have been named replacements for Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant. Himanshu Mantri has been added to the squad. The announcement also confirmed that Sarfaraz Khan will play the second match despite being named in IND vs BAN squad.

Team C remains unchanged for now. Meanwhile, Axar Patel will be replaced by Nishant Sindhu in India D. Tushar Deshpande has been ruled out due to a niggle and will be replaced by Vidwath Kaverappa.
