The BCCI has announced it’s central contracts for the 2023-24 year. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer failed to get a contract after missing out on domestic games. The top stars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli retained their A+ contract, but it has been the end of the road for the veterans like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.
The dependable duo have been out of the pegging order for quite sometime. Rahane continues to have a disastrous form even in the domestic circuit. But on the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara has been excellent in Ranji Trophy. He has maintained a stellar form but that didn’t yield anything.
