Before the IPL 2024, it is the BBL 2023-24 which is a big hit among T20 fans. The games are being followed closely and the quality of cricket is right up there with the best in the business. Apart from the usual contests between the bat and the ball, one moment that caught everyone’s attention was, Pakistan cricketer Usama Mir giving it his all to catch the ball, only to realise it was a free hit.
The incident happened during Saturday’s clash between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars, where Mir gave everyone a moment to laugh out loud. Meanwhile, the incident occurred on the bowling of Mark Steketee, and the batsman was Cameron Bancroft.
As far as the match is concerned, Mir had an off day with the ball as the leg-spinner went for 28 runs in only three overs. Despite that, the Sydney Thunder managed to win by five wickets; and reached in the fifth position in the points table.
