Australia batter Will Pucovski will not be a part of Leicestershire for the County Championship 2024 season. The batter suffered the 13th concussion of his career, during a Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania. Leicestershire has announced that Pucovski will be unavailable for the start of the season. The club added that it is going to allow the Australian to focus on recovery from injury.

“It’s a huge shame to lose Will at this stage, but his health must come first,” Leicestershire director of cricket, Claude Henderson said.
“Given the proximity to the start of the English season, it has been agreed by all parties to allow him the necessary time to recover, and we want to wish Will all the best as he continues to recuperate in Australia.”

- He managed only one Test against India, scoring 72 runs.
