After England initially appeared to dominate the Ranchi Test, a resilient Dhruv Jurel and the Indian spin attack turned the tables on day three.
Jurel’s impressive 90 and the combined efforts of R Ashwin and Kuldeep dismantled England’s batting order, leaving the match once again finely balanced, reminiscent of the series’ first two games.
Ashwin’s remarkable 5/51 in 15.5 overs restricted England to 145 all out in their second innings. The hosts concluded the day at 40/0, requiring 152 runs to secure a 3-1 series lead.
Ashwin’s crucial wickets, including Duckett, Pope, and Root, set England back at 65/3 before sealing his five-wicket haul with dismissals of Foakes and Anderson.
