Batter Usman Khan was named in Pakistan’s 17-member squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. The cricketer was banned by the Emirates Cricket Board for attending a Pakistan training camp after the conclusion of PSL.
Banned cricketer gets spot in Pakistan team
Usman Khan was banned from playing cricket in the UAE for five years, missing out on the chance to qualify as a national player for the Gulf state from 2025. He was the second highest run scorer in the Pakistan Super League last month with 430 in seven matches,
“Usman has been scoring runs for the last two-three years so he deserved selection and if there are any other issues Pakistan Cricket Board will be dealing with them,” Riaz told media while announcing the squad.

“The decision to include Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir was a straightforward one, given their availability for selection and considering Haris Rauf’s injury and Mohammad Nawaz’s current form.
