Shakib to get eye treatment in London ahead of BPL 2024
As per The Daily Star, BPL side Rangpur Riders have arranged an appointment for Shakib with an ophthalmologist in London. As per the report, the all-rounder was also seen batting at nets with glasses at the Basundhara Sports Complex ahead of his departure to London.
Earlier, Hasan had revealed that he had suffered from a blurry vision while in charge of the team in ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Shakib further said that he was advised by his doctor to reduce stress due to the blurred vision in his left eye.
“I had huge discomfort facing the ball. It is not in one or two games in the World Cup, rather I was having it (the eye problem) throughout the World Cup,” Shakib told Cricbuzz.
“The thing is that when I went to the doctor there was water in my cornea or retina and they had given me drops and told me that I have to lower my stress. I am not sure whether that was the reason. But when I checked again in America there was no stress and I told the doctor there is no World Cup so naturally there is no stress,” he added.
