Bangladesh’s Shakib al Hasan cleared to bowl again after three action reassessment tests

After failing two reassessment tests, Bangladesh's Shakib al Hasan has finally been cleared to bowl again

Bangladesh cricketer Shakib al Hasan has been finally cleared to bowl again. After failing two reassessment tests, the all-rounder finally managed to clear it on his third attempt. Now that Shakib’s suspension stands suspended, it remains to be seen what is in store for the veteran in the future.

Shakib passes bowling test on 3rd attempt

As per Cricbuzz, Shakib cleared the action reassessment test in England. He had taken the test twice previously – one in England and one in India – in which he had failed. The Bangladesh all-rounder confirmed that he had cleared the test and could now bowl again.

The news is right (passing about the bowling test) and I am cleared to bowl again,” Shakib said.

Shakib was reported by the standing umpire during a game for Surrey in the County Championship. The incident took place during the game against Somerset between September 9-12 where he went on to bag nine wickets.

The all-rounder wasn’t picked in Bangladesh’s Champions Trophy squad either. The selectors weren’t keen on including Shakib as a pure batter and hence left him out. Now that Shakib has been cleared to bowl again, it remains to be seen if he will make a comeback to the national team.
