Bangladesh cricket team has announced the squad for the upcoming two-match IND vs BAN Test series. The series will commence with the 1st Test in Chennai from September 19 onwards. Bangladesh will visit India riding on the back of a historic Test series victory against Pakistan and will be eyeing to replicate the feat against India.

Pacer Shoriful Islam has been left out of the squad due to a groin injury. Meanwhile, uncapped player Jaker Anik Ali has been included in the 16-member squad.

Bangladesh began training for the India series on September 9 in Mirpur. All members of the Test squad, barring Shakib al Hasan, are a part of the training camp. The team is expected to arrive in India on September 15, four days ahead of the 1st Test. Meanwhile, all-rounder Shakib al Hasan will directly arrive in India from England where he is playing for Surrey in the County Championship.
