The same venue and the same respect are expected for the BAN W vs IND W 2nd T20I. The India women’s cricket team will look to further extend their lead to 2-0 in the 5-match series being played in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Harmanpreet Kaur and co. proved to be too strong for the host in the first game, beating them handsomely by 44 runs.
India too good for Bangladesh?
Similar to the opening encounter, a low-scoring affair is expected. By modern T20 standards, a 140-150 score is considered low. But on the slow and sluggish pitches of Bangladesh, that score is above average. Only one batter scored with a strike rate of over 140 (Shafali Varma), while most struggled to get going.
But the bowlers will have a great time. 15 wickets fell in the first T20I, which were evenly split between pacers (8) and spinners (7). Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, and Marufa Akter took at least 2 wickets each, while spinners dominated the preceding’s in the middle overs.
Something similar can be expected on April 30, where we can see first-inning totals ranging from 120 to 150, and the chasing side will be expected to have some difficulty.
